Zero:
This will be terrible, if Synbios's forces come here without knowing about this! They'd be surrounded and destroyed! .
Campbell:
It looks as if Synbios would come in from that direction, he wouldn't see these troops here.
Grantack:
If Synbios comes, he'll have to face a very good general. He should not relax his guard.
Syntesis:
Wait... that's not General Garzel! He couldn't have planned something like this.
Zero:
That's General Edmund! From the Republic! He's loved by almost all the people! I can't belive he'd betray his country!
Uryudo:
Hey, there's the Synbios army now.
Medion:
.......!!
Zero:
Oh, Benetram, it's hopeless. You'll be trapped if you don't run away now! Wait... Prince Medion, there's someone from Edmund's army.
Military Commander (of Edmund):
Ha! We've got Benetram now! The arrival of Synbios is right on scheduele. You there, go and see if the external troops need anything. Get to the front lines for backup. This is a very historical battle about to take place. Benetram is trapped. He's not getting out of here. Once Synbios moves towards the bridge, follow up and flank him. That will be the all-out attack that will give us victory!
Campbell:
Well, hello there. I'm afraid we'll have to stop you now.
Military Commander:
Oh, damn, the Imperial army! Oh, what are you doing here?
Medion:
.........
Military Commander:
Even if you have discovered our plan, we can't stop it now. Okay then, troops. You people move up, attack Synbios. I guess the rest of you will have to stay here to get rid of this army.
Syntesis:
These kind of people aren't very nice. Their plots always fail too.
Medion:
.........
Zero:
We must save King Benetram! We should get rid of these betrayers right now.
Campbell:
We should sneak around and surprise them, Prince Medion, but we still need your opinon.
Later...
Military Commander:
What? What's going on? Our army is being crushed! We'd better withdraw troops from the Synbios attack or we'll be completely destroyed.
Grantack:
The Edmund army is responding to our offensive.
Garzel:
Well, Synbios. I have a little surprise for you.
Benetram:
A... surprise?
Edmund:
Surrender now Synbios. Let's have Benetram and you can be on your way.
Dantares:
That voice... General Edmund!
Edmund:
I destroyed the Imperial army, as I said I would, but then realized how futile it all was. I did not expect to be in such good shape right now. Synbios, there is no way for you to pass. Hand over Benetram, I don't want to have to defeat you.
Dantares:
You've betrayed your country General Edmund!
Garzel:
Betraying one's ally is a part of daily life Synbios. General Edmund has decided who he really wants to follow. Now what is your desision, Synbios?
Synbios:
It's no wonder why people like you do such things, cooperating with the Empire like this!
Edmund:
We founded Aspina on the basis of equality, but we have failed in our goal. We need to rebuild our nation.
Benetram:
Edmund, the power of the Empire's debt has corupted you. It's too early to see if we need to rebuild.
Edmund:
Benetram, you can't go on like this much longer! The people of the Republic live in poverty! It is worse than the Empire. We waited, and believed it would get better, but it hasn't!
Garzel:
Do not get mad at General Edmund, or he will destroy you. The time has come Synbios. Put down your sword, surrender, and give us Benetram!
If Synbios answered YES in Scenario 1
Synbios:
Even if we give you Benetram, it will still not help you, Garzel. As for you Edmund, only time can help the Republic.
Garzel:
What? I don't believe that at all. He's not going to give us Benetram, so be prepared for a trap, men!
If Synbios answered NO in Scenario 1
Synbios:
Edmund, because you have defected to the Empire, you will not be getting Benetram on any condition! We won't even let you lay a finger on him!
Garzel:
Well, if that's the way you want it, we'll have to destroy you!
Edmund:
Right, the time is now. I'll send for my army.
Dantares:
Oh, an ambush! How original you are Edmund!
Garzel:
What? Edmund, no! Not yet!
Edmund:
Ha! You are foolish! Men, cut off the path of retreat of the Synbios army!
Garzel:
What? Edmund! You expect we can win this fight with only that many troops, Edmund?
Edmund:
What? I don't understand! My army is much larger than that! What's going on?
Medion:
....... (I believe I'm to blame for that...the rest of them are being kept busy by my troops, Edmund!)
Garzel:
It's... it's Prince Medion!
Medion:
......... (You'd sacrifice innocents for your new order...that hardly sounds ideal to me. Time to wake up, Edmund!)
Grantack:
I have lost respect for you, Garzel. You conspired with Republic traitors and plotted to kill King Benetram!
Garzel:
Well, Grantack, I guess you don't really understand your country.
Campbell:
That doesn't matter. The laws of Imperial Chivalry prohibit exactly what you're doing here! Now who did you say doesn't understand their country?
Garzel:
Oh, be quiet Campbell. After waiting so long for Synbios to get here, so that I can become famous throughout the Empire, I'm not going to leave!
Edmund:
Damn! Well, you there, attack Synbios, the rest of you, go after Medion.
Medion:
........ (Leave Edmund's main force to me. Go after Garzel and those other traitors, Lord Synbios!)
Benetram:
Prince Medion, we must thank you for taking a large portion of work off our hands. Our Entire army could have not handled it.
Military Commander:
Well, Prince Medion, I think you are a disgrace to your country. You should be ashamed.
Grantack:
Medion, we've managed to delay the Edmund army's plans, but we must go even furthur. Prepare for an all out attack.
Later...
Military Commander:
We've run out of troops! Edmund, I think our army has been anihalated! We need reinforcements.
Edmund:
Right, get off the bridge everyone! I'll cut the ropes, that'll keep Synbios out of here.
Garzel:
Edmund, you conceited little fool. Because our forces are being overrun you want to destroy the bridge for your own reasons? Ha! No wonder you Republicans formed your own country. I will not let you cut the rope!
Edmund:
Stop wasting time. Let me cut the ropes.
Garzel:
I will not have it, Edmund.
Edmund is pushed over side
Edmund:
General Garzel! Help me! I'll fall!
Garzel:
I was going to kill you sooner or later, but I guess it will have to be sooner!
Edmund:
Why did it have to come to this?!
Edmund falls
Garzel:
Anyone else want to block my opinions? No? Ok, time to finish off Synbios.
Military Commander:
Do not worry.
Grantack:
We are giving you the option of surrender, since your General is gone. Do you accept our terms, or do you want to be destroyed?
Military Commander:
We will keep fighting, but don't you think it is becoming a little tedious?
Grantack:
Nice try, but we won't fall for a trick like that. What do you think you're doing?
Military Commander:
I have seen today, that the Empire is truely evil. Many of you live only to kill. I wish I could find some companions to attend General Edmund's funeral with...
End of combat
Dantares:
Prince Medion, thank you for removing that extra layer of troops. We must bow before you.
Campbell:
We benefit each other. In order to find you again, the path that we would take was already set.
Medion:
....... (Speaking of which, I almost forgot...we must return to you your friend. He travelled with us as our guest.)
Syntesis:
Must you go back, Zero?
Uryudo:
Yes, must you? Without you it will but much harder for us to fight.
Eldar:
Zero, it is nice to know that people rely on you.
Zero:
Eldar, sister.
Eldar:
To regain order in the Republic, we need your help. Many things need to be done.
Synbios:
You do not need to stay with us long, Zero, if you wish to return and help Prince Medion.
Medion:
........ (Thank you, Lord Synbios, but with the hard road I see ahead of you, I cannot accept any more such gestures.)
Benetram:
Prince Medion, from here, you will be traveling south, towards Barrand? If you then proceed to Elbesem, do be careful.
Grantack:
It is sacred ground. Of course we will be careful. Is there something else that worries you?
Benetram:
Bulzome monks may be located near there. It will also be more dangerous for Elbesem, since the Guardian Statue has been destroyed.
Grantack:
Bulzome monks? Very well, we understand. We'll be careful.
Benetram:
Kahn, you wanted to go to Elbesem, do you want to go with Medion?
Kahn:
I worry for Elbesem, but my mission as a monk is complete, for now. I don't need to go there right now.
Medion:
....... (I regret not being able to spend more time, but we must go now.)
Synbios:
Prince Medion, you are a true hope for our country. Please watch out for yourself.
Campbell:
We will proceed south, to Barrand.
Moving on...
Uryudo:
Well, Synbios crossed the suspension bridge. The Republic captial of Aspia is not much further away.
Syntesis:
Well, I do like travel and adventure, but I could really use a break about now. I really envy Zero.
Medion:
.........
Campbell:
Well, Zero is returning to his home country. I'm sure he'll keep busy there.
Uryudo:
Why do these hardships always seem to befall us right after something good happens?
Grantack:
Well, the Republic economy is not good. The war with our Empire will also hurt them severly. I hope their economy can stay stable.
Campbell:
They are essentially fighting against a large monster. It's frightening how many ways it can attack. There are so many ways an economy can fall.
Grantack:
Walk slowly now...
Medion:
........
Campbell:
Barrand is on the other side of this mountain. Let's go.
Imperial General Garzel and Republic General Edmund formed a desperate alliance to capture the Republican King, Benetram. Medion's forces successfully intercepted the attack with enough impact, that Synbios' forces were able to cope.

Synbios's army now returns to Aspina, where their safety is prayed. Medion's forces are on the move towards Barrand, where General Rogan awaits.

However, the forest, a sea of trees, lies directly in line with Barrand. Medion's forces will have to move through these trees in order to reach their goal. But, someone is intent on barring their way...
