Since we left Synbios?s army at the suspension bridge, I noticed the nature around us is quite strange? Everything seems to be... asleep...
Campbell:
In addition, the numbers of monsters around here have dramatically increased. Why have they invaded the territory of Barrand?
Syntesis:
I don?t understand what happened in this village. I... don?t feel any presence around here.
Grantack:
Because of her origins, Syntesis has some strange relations with the nature.
Medion:

Grantack:

Goliath:
I am one of the four priests of Bulzome. I?m Goliath of the wind.
Grantack:
I understand now why there are no villagers around. The Bulzome Sect has probably killed them all!
Masked Monk:
How dare you be impolite toward our priest! The hierarchic system doesn?t seem to be very familiar to you. Shall I teach them some manners?
Goliath:
No, we are not here to make blood flow again. Do you really think we are related to the disappearance of the villagers?
Campbell:
You bombarded Saraband, took advantage of the commotion to abduct the Emperor and yet, you still want us to believe that the Bulzome Sect is unable to harm civilians?
Goliath:

We didn?t see you bombarding the city, but we had witnessed a masked monk carrying gunpowder!
Goliath:
I?m sorry to hear about what happened... However, how can you say that the Bulzome Sect is behind all those events?
Syntesis:
Stop fooling us! We heard from Benetran that a priest of Bulzome took his appearance to kidnap the Emperor and then he escaped with him by ship. What do you have to say about that?
Goliath:
I can?t believe it! Don?t tell me that you, a prince of the Empire, believes in the story of King Benetran?
Grantack:
So you?re trying to make us believe that King Benetran?s story is false?

Goliath:
I heard he came through this village a little while ago. It?s a 12 year old boy. By any chance, have you seen him on your way there?
Grantack:
Even if we had seen him, do you really think we would tell you about his whereabouts? Why are you looking for this boy?
Goliath:
His name is Gracia... He?s the descendant of Innovators.
Uryudo:
Gracia?

Did I hear correctly? Did he say Innovator?
Grantack:
The Innovators are said to have existed in the past. They appeared at the same time as the Vandals according to legends. However, nobody really knows if they really existed or not.
Medion:

Grantack:
They are the opposite of Vandals. So, while Vandals are supreme evil beings, Innovators are supreme holy beings.
Campbell:
Hmm... the opposite part of Vandals... like two sides of a same coin... Do you believe they really exist?
Grantack:
I?m not sure we can believe what that Goliath told us but whoever they are looking for, it must be a really important person.
Uryudo:
However, we were really lucky to have avoided another fight with the Bulzome Sect. I?m really exhausted too.
Syntesis:
Hmm... A supreme holy being could be a danger for them...
Campbell:
I don?t know what to think about that Innovator story. But, I think we must find that boy named Gracia before them...
Medion:

Grantack:
It seems that, besides the search of the Emperor?s whereabouts, we have now another mission to carry on...
Campbell:
And it means that sooner or later, we will have to fight against the priests of Bulzome, including that eerie Goliath.
Grantack:
Tomorrow, we will go out of these woods and head to Barrand. We must reach it by tomorrow! Now, let?s take a rest in the base over here!
