Iria:
So the Emperor Domaric has entered the halls of Swampland, I can't imagine what cruelty has befallen my husband.
Fiderit:
Your husband decided his own fate when he defected from the empire.
Romatera:
I'm frightened mother. Where's my father?
Iria:
You're father is dead my child. His murderer stands before us!
Jason:
I don't understand! Where has papa gone?
Iria:
Look at the faces of these children! Have you no compassion for the families you render fatherless upon every life you take on the battlefield? You're a monster that kills without hesitation!
Domaric:
I give no thought to those who betray the Empire! Their lives are forfeit regardless of whether they are a father or a husband!
Fiderit:
Of course! Those who do not yield allegiance only cause civil unrest.
Grantrack:
Yes, all rebellions that oppose Destonia must be quashed in order to maintain peace within the Empire.
Domaric:
There seems to be no objection to my policy. Swampland's small rebellion began a useless war that accomplished nothing. What say you, my son, do you feel that the people of this country have brought about their own sorrow?
(Yes/No)
Grantack:
All that is left now is to put these vestigial nobles to death to serve as an example of the consequences to those who would consider opposing Destonia's might.
Iria:
Please, take my life but not the children's!
Fiderit:
Your pathetic pleas for mercy only make your deaths more dishonorable. Emperor Domaric has already made his decree!
Iria:
To take the lives of my dear innocent children, Jason and Romatera, you are a brute Domaric! A brute!
Medion:
.........
Campbell:
Please stop it, Prince Medion. It is unbecoming of you to defy the Emperor's word.
Grantack:
That goes without saying, Campbell.
Domaric:
Then it is decided, the children will be executed as well.
Fiderit:
My Lord, Prince Medion's objections may be sound. The deaths of these nobles may cause further opposition to the Empire.
Domaric:
Explain, Fiderit.
Fiderit:
By executing the nobility, we risk the possibility of enraging the people of this land even more. We could make martyrs out of them.
Grantack:
The time of execution can be prolonged. What do you desire, Prince Medion, shall we wait?
(Yes/No)
Grantack:
On behalf of Prince Medion and I, we thank you for being so generous, Emperor Domaric.
Domaric:
There have been rumors in capitol district of Swampland that Aspia is going to be invaded. If this is due to my immature son, Arrawnt, we cannot stay here for long anyway.
Fiderit:
Then make preparations, Medion, for a march into the uncultivated fields of the marsh. We will enter a hole in the volcano that will take us to Aspia.
Domaric:
Medion, I know why the lives of these royalty must be spared for now, but I do not like it. It makes me look weak.
Fiderit:
To rule the Empire one must wield absolute power. Understand this, cruelty is necessary.
