 How you can support SFC 
Shining force Central has been around in one form or another for over 5 years, and my other Shining sites started out way back in May of 1997. They've become a big part of my daily life, and I understand the forums and other areas of the site are equally important to a large amount of users.
Over the years the sites have moved from host to host, usually at no cost to me. However, with revenue being harder and harder to make online, free hosts always seem to be increasing the number of advertisements displayed on their hosted sites. Recently, the number of required ad banners and pop-ups became more than just an annoyance, and coupled with various server issues with my previous host, I decided to opt for a paid hosting service.
What does this mean for you? Well, it means you won't be bombared with adverts every time you visit these sites. I've opted to include a few select advertisers on SFC (but not at my other Shining sites) in order to try to cover some of my hosting costs. These are not banners that pay per click or per view... they pay me a small commission if users choose to purchase items from the advertiser. For this reason I've selected advertisers that are relevant to you, the site visitor. You won't find me promoting discount holidays, rip-off software and suchlike... just videogame and anime related materials. It also means there should be less downtime, and less errors at the forums. I really hope saying that doesn't jinx it 
To give you an idea of how much this site costs me to run, my yearly hosting fee comes to US$300, and I spend in the region of US$10-15 per month on prizes for the contests, and mailing them out. That comes to about US$500 a year. That may not sound like much to some of you, but to a housewife with a mortgage, it's a pretty hefty sum!
