Old man at the port:
The answer is still "No!" That's the mayor's ship. Go talk to him if you like.
Guy near the circus:
Sorry, the circus people said to let no one in yet.
Old man at the bar:
Shade Abbey...it has some connection to Guardiana, but I can't think of it....
Girl 1:
Did you meet Princess Anri? Isn't she wonderful?
Girl 2:
The tent is up, but when will the circus start?
Woman:
My son is missing! Have you seen him?
Mayor's son:
Please help us find our son.
Mayor:
I have a favor to ask of you. Grant it and the ship is all yours! What do you say?
If NO
Mayor:
Well, then, no ship. Please leave.
If YES
Mayor:
My grandson is missing. If you find him and bring him back, my ship is yours. So, Max, please find my grandson!
Guy near the circus:
The mayor's grandson? Yes, he went in the tent and never came out! That's strange. I'll let you in to look for him. Be careful. Some of those people look dangerous.
Guy near the circus:
Be careful in there!
BATTLE 7 - THE CIRCUS
Mishaela:
Well Max, remember me? You'll soon wish you'd taken my advice in Alterone!
Mishaela:
Come, my pets! Look who's come to play with you. Why, it's the Shining Force!
Mishaela:
I leave you in good hands, Max. I have more vital matters to attend to right now!
Mishaela vanishes
battle ends
Marionette:
Fools! Light will never defeat the Darkness....
Mayor's grandson:
She...that evil woman...was going to take me to Runefaust, to feed me to a dragon! Thank you! I'm going home and I'm never leaving!
Guy near the circus:
It's my fault. I should have noticed he was in there too long. Thank you, Max!
Old man at the port:
I'm sure the mayor is grateful that you saved his grandson. Go talk to him.
Guntz:
Man, it's hot. My back is burning up. This is just killing me!
Dr. Crock:
It's fixed! My steam suit finally works! Show him, Guntz. Walk over here.
Guntz:
It still doesn't seem right.
Dr. Crock:
Silence! Just do as I ask!
Guntz:
OK, OK!
Guntz starts walking
Guntz:
It stopped! Not again!
Dr. Crock:
Oh, dear. Well, back to the old drawing board.
Guntz:
I don't care. Just please finish it and let me out!
Dr. Crock:
Oh, well. Just a little more tinkering, that's all.
Woman at the theater:
I always enjoy these plays. "The Might of Light" should be wonderful.
Kid at the theater:
Go Shining Force!
Actor 1 (dressed as a Rune knight):
This is the worst role. I should have quit long ago.
Actor 2 (dressed as Max):
This is a great role. I wish I could play this forever.
Man at the counter:
The play's about to begin. See the Shining Force trounce the Runefaust army!
If NO
Man at the counter:
Too bad. It's wonderful!
If YES
Man at the counter:
Go sit down. It's starting!
Man at the counter:
Thank you for waiting. The show will now begin!
Actor 1:
Please don't hurt me, Shining Force. I'll change my ways, you'll see.
Actor 2:
I don't believe you. You'll work your evil again!
Actor 1:
Drat! How did you know?
Actor 2:
Take this!
Actor 1:
Aiiiieee! You've killed me!
(Offscreen):
Pow! Bang! Smash!
Audience:
Clap! Clap! Clap!
Man at the counter:
Thank you and come again!
Audience:
Clap! Clap! Clap!
Man at the counter:
We're looking forward to your next visit.
Woman:
Thank you so much for saving my son.
Mayor's son:
Thank you, Max!
Mayor's grandson:
Thank you for saving me!
Mayor:
Thank you so much, Max. Take my ship. It's all yours now!
Old man at the port:
The mayor's ship is yours!
MAYOR'S SHIP
Nova:
This ship will do just fine. Let's gather the Shining Force and leave at once!
Mishaela appears
Mishaela:
You defeated my pets, but you won't bother me anymore. You're going to burn!
Mishaela starts to burn down the ship
Mishaela:
Burn, Max, Burn! You'll serve as an example to all who dare oppose Runefaust.
Mishaela:
Good riddance, insect!
The flames start spreading and Mishaela vanishes
Nova:
Max, run! The ship's going down!
BACK AT TOWN
Old man at the port:
This is bad! That was the only ship in town. Maybe the mayor can help you again.
Mayor:
What? They burnt your ship? Now we have no single ship in this town! The only other town with ships is Uranbatol. But it's a long way from here. Are you still determined to go?
If NO
Mayor:
Well then, stay here. You'll be fine.
Mayor:
Did you change your mind?
If YES
Mayor:
Uranbatol is very remote. It's far to the northeast. Go to Shade Abbey first. Ask my son all the details about the journey.
Mayor's son:
Head north to Shade Abbey. You shouldn't have much trouble finding it.
