Chapter 1: Nightmare in the Floating City of Saraband
Script typed up by: Lineage
Our chief is clever as ever!
I was worried that a Republic-Empire treaty might be bad for business. But luckily things changed and war broke out!
Who could predict thus outcome? But the chief knew this was gonna happen. He must have contacts everywhere.
With the internal security forces busy with the Republican armies, we're free to steal like there's no tomorrow.
Still, even though we are part of the Shiraf clan, we're stuck on this stupid watch. I wish we could join a more active unit...
Bandits are on guard just ahead, but we cannot waste much time on them...
Shiraf, the chief of those bandits, knows about the conference debacle? THere's something suspicious here...
King Benetram, sitting here is just a waste of precious time...
Once we meet with General Produn, I must think through all this again. Let us move out. Split them right down the middle.
During the battle
Listen Synbios, to win in battle, you must use lances against swords, and arrows against things that fly.
Back off, buddy! I'll be taking all the treasure from these ruins!
These bandits are planning to ransack Dwarf Hill! Synbios, if you have the manpower, keep them from executing their plan.
When Synbios tries to enter the ruin
Synbios, the battalion leader must remain on the main battlefield.
After the battle
I get it.... you guys are part of the Republic army... So you must be Benetram. I... heard that Synbios' force... disappeared, but... show up here... didn't expect.
You knew the peace conference would fail... How... How did you know this...?
Wouldn't you like... to know? .cough. Shiraf and... and... planned... ..the Emperor... eliminate... Ugh...!
Damn! We came that close to finally knowing who's pulling the strings...
If only we could have avoided killing him... Unfortunate. Many lives were lost... for nothing. If we do nothing, more will perish. We must prevent that from happening.
Well, Synbios... Let us head out for Railhead.
The fiscal problems of the Republic triggered turmoil in Barrand, just the excuse the Empire needed to justify an invasion of the Holy Land, brinking both countries to the brink of full-scale war. A peace conference was called in an attempt to avert the coming war, but the abduction of the Emperor by Bulzome fanatics raised tensions on both sides. Both sides left the peace conference planning for war. Synbios managed to escape Balsamo, and is heading to the town of Railhead where General Produn awaits. However, many unexpected events lie in his and his party's path.
