Lookover after Battle

LOOKOVER TOWER OBSERVATORY
TRYING TO GO DOWN
Let's stay up here for awhile... We will descend the tower once we hve finished our talk.
OBSERVATION DECK #1
What you can see to the west is the narrow valley that divides Aspia and Barrand. If you just look at the beautiful landscapes from here, it is hard to imagine that Barrand is now a war-torn country that is at the very center of this war.
OBSERVATION DECK #2
On a clear day, you should be able to see the continental pathway in the middle of the ocean to the south of us. A little over twenty years ago, all the citizens of the Republic came here using that pathway.
OBSERVATION DECK #3
That snowy mountain visible to the north is where the Bulzome Holy Palace lies. That is where Bulzome would awake, were that allowed to come to pass. A natural assumption would be that the sect is heading there.
OBSERVATION DECK #4
The the east you should be able to see the eastern seaboard of the continent. Every time I loook out that way, I wonder what lies beyond. Someday I'd like to take a ship and find out.
Are you wondering about that gem floating in the air...? Even I do not know exactly what it is. However, the more activity in the evil sect's army, the brighter the gem glows... It seems to be an indicator of the dark power of Bulzome.
TRYING TO ACCESS MENU
Are you finished looking around here?
I see... Take your time and look some more.
Well then... Shall we begin?
During the battle, you mentioned a "promise to Conrad". What exactly did you mean?
Lord Conrad, King Benetram and myself had a mutual agreement...
If anyone among us three were to go down before our goal was achieved, the remaining two would take over, and instruct a person who would continue to seek the same goal. That would be, for example... Synbios!
Do the Vandals have something to do with "your goal"? King Benetram always seemed absorbed in learning about Bulzome...
Researchers at Flagard were studying the legends of the Thousand Year Kingdom, and the excavation project at the ancient ruins... They are all related to the revival of Bulzome?
To prevent this continent from falling under the rule of the Vandal, you must take over the work of your father. I offer whatever help I can give to aid you in this task.
So, what should we do... from here on?
Attack the Bulzome Sect head-on and stop the revival of Bulzome himself. I'd like it if it were that simple, but there is much to do.
Should we go after that thing you were mentioning earlier... a Walcuray... that was headed south?
Walcuray is a flying mushroom-shaped object used in the ancient times by the Vandal.
As you know, because of the treachery of Bulzome's followers, the Empire and the Republic started this war... They also seem to be involved in various rebellious movements within each government.
Not just the peace conference, either. The Bulzome were involved in the Baersol army and Fafhard incidents.
Why in the world... would the Bulzome Sect... do such things?
This is still just my own speculation, but dark human emotions like terrror, hate, and despair seem to feed the Vandal. Take a look at that. That seems to be the measuring device for the dark power. Its brilliance increases as more and more warfare breaks out.
The Bulzome Sect is creating tragedy, through the chaos of war, in order to bring on the revival of the Vandal?
In order to try and stop the revival of Bulzome, we must prevent his power from increasing any further... To do so, we must first put a stop to all the warfare within the nation. Let us visit Tristus of Malorie. He is very well respected in Aspia. He can put an end to the internal battles.
That's good thinking, Duke Palsis... Lord Tristus is Lord Synbios' brother-in-law. It would be easy asking him this favor.
Hmmm... That's right... Everyone, time is critical now! We must leave for Malorie immediately!
What???? I'm heading to Malorie by going over the Great Wall. No doubt, if you are going from here to Malorie, taking the Great Wall is absolutely the fastes route.
The name of this town was taken from Lookover Tower, and that's why it is called Lookover. Guessing from the name the tower must have been made to watch something.
Soon, Lookover will be completely covered by bright white snow, hiding the evidence of this hideous fighting. Before it snows, a group of nomads called Vagabonds always come through town.
I was shocked to hear Lord Conrad was killed by that evil sect army. Everyone in Lookover knows about it. The villagers understand Synbios' sorrow, so they don't mention it.
Student by the Well:
We were looking in the direction of the Divine Palace of Bulzome, where Bulzome is said to be sleeping. We witnessed the mythical Walcuray passing near the tower ever so slowly. It's so terrifyingly huge!
A gold mine was discovered in the ruins near the tower. Few people out of the town know of it. Duke Palsis and his colleagues keep the gold a secret so people won't come pouring into town, looking to get rich.
Student by the House:
We came to Lookover on a secret mission to watch the movements of Bulzome. We never expected to find a gold mine! In order to hide the gold, we moved it all to Flagard. That's why General Fafhard attacked Flagard.
If Duke Palsis is accompanying Lord Synbios, what will happen to Lookover with all the researchers gone? I hope the village will be able to survive on its own without the researchers' money.
How did you do? Were you able to protect the ruins from the bandits?
Don't lie to me! You did protect the ruins from the bandits. I'm impressed with your leadership.
I see... It must have been difficult to do while fighting the Bulzome army. You really are an excellent commander.
WHEN TRYING TO LEAVE
Every moment counts... Let's head west on the Great Wall right away, and see Lord Tristus!
HOUSE MERCHANT STOOD NEXT TO
Now that Lord Conrad has passed away, and Duke Palsis is leaving Lookover, no place north of Aspia will be secure. I've just settled into Lookover, but perhaps I should consider moving somewhere else...
My mommy is scared because some bad people came into the village... She doesn't know that I can protect her!
Since Lord Synbios whomped the evil sect, the weapons dealer returned. Woo-hoo! I'm gettin' me a new sword-rack!
Don't tell anyone... but in the ruins, they say there is a massive vein of gold. Ever since I heard about it, my weapon shop has seemed like such drudgery. But I guess working keeps me sane.
HOUSE NEXT TO OLD MAN
The Great Wall will lead you to Malorie... But there are so many monsters around there. I think that's been worrying Duke Palsis. I guess you've already considered that, and are going anyway.
Malorie is ruled by Lord Tristus, and its castle is said to be almost as secure as the castle of Aspia.
Student by Wall:
It seems Duke Palsis is really going away. Who knows if he'll return safely... It's a very dangerous expedition. I wanted the Duke to teach me wisdom... but I've only learned household chores.... That's really pathetic...
Student by Boxes:
I cannot believe Duke Palsis! I've made him a mighty delicious meal, and he's leaving with Lord Synbios. Duke Palsis always said that once Lord Synbios got here, he would leave, and travel around cutting down enemies!
I heard that Duke Palsis is leaving Lookover with Lord Synbios. I'm glad he's leaving all his soldiers behind.
This place used to be quite shabby. We had a few huts which made charcoal, along with the ruins and the tower. Then the excavation team came, and the town grew up almost overnight. I'm so grateful to Duke Palsis.
Did you see the strange gem floating at the top of Lookover Tower? When we first moved to Lookover, it didn't glow so brilliantly. I wonder how much brighter it will get?
If we are to meet Lord Tristus in Malorie it will be the quickest for us to proceed westbound on the Great Wall.
Damn and blast! Even though we defeated Fiale, he was saved by Basanda. I wish we had taken him out then....
The view from the tower was superb! I really like Lookover Tower. I'd love to spend more time up there.
They built the tower because of the Vandal... I wonder what kind of people the ancients were.
It's quite ironic, don't you think, that a gold mine was found in the ruins of Lookover.
We're on the edge of the Republic, and now we head back toward Aspia... We made a circle around the country.
I'm so glad we no longer have to keep walking up those stupid stairs and ramps! I'm never going there again!!!
All those ramps must have been tough. As I watched, I felt so sorry for you. My wings really do come in handy.
SIGH... The battle is over, and we're back on the ground, but I'm still feeling dizzy...
In my opinion, the gem of Lookover floats and spins due to some magical force.
North of the Great Wall is a dangerous zone. I must be careful not to fall off the pathways.
I was wondering how much further we would go, but now we're beading back to Malorie, back toward Aspia.
CHIRP ! CHIRP ! (The long road is cool! Let me run!) ... that seems like what he is saying.
It will be my first time walking over the Great Wall, and so I'm sure it will be quite enjoyable...
GRRRR... the Great Wall borders with the northern lands. Again... my senses tell me there is something there.
There are many people with Synbios, but I seem to be the only ninja. I'll show them what great skill I have.
